Summary. Introduction. Modern trends in primary school development are based on the use of activity and creative methods and teaching technologies in the educational process, which contribute to the artistic and creative expression and self-realisation of students. Information and reproductive methods of teaching are inferior to interactive ones, which are aimed at forming students' interest in education, activating cognitive activity, developing creativity, fostering moral values and respect for world and national culture.
Purpose. To substantiate the peculiarities of organising the visual activity of primary school pupils by means of game technologies.
Results. Fine arts lessons have wide opportunities for the use of didactic games. Games develop junior pupils' general cultural competence, imagination, sociability, cognitive abilities, enrich their vocabulary and ability to find and present information. The game tasks created on the LearningApps platform can be used to study topics on the basics of colour science, which will help develop aesthetic perception of colour and imagination. In art classes, gaming technologies help primary school children express emotions, imagination, and fantasy through artistic activities.
Originality. The article reveals the peculiarities of organising the visual activity of primary school pupils using game technologies, the specifics of using games in the process of teaching drawing and introducing primary school children to the basics of art history.
Conclusion. At primary school art lessons, the game is a unique method of developing emotional sensitivity, aesthetic and value perception and artistic and imaginative thinking of pupils. The introduction of game technologies is becoming especially relevant due to the need to adapt the educational process to the challenges of digitalisation of learning. Primary school children learn new information better through digital game tasks that match their experience, preferences and interests.
