Summary. The article, based on the analysis of theory and practice, characterizes the state of preparation of future physical education teachers for the organization of physical education and health activities.
The formation of professional readiness of future physical education teachers for the organization of physical education and health activities in the process of professional training, provided that systemic, personally oriented, personally active and competent approaches to building a modern educational process in a higher education institution are used is a leading factor in their professional formation and development. Accordingly, these processes contribute to the effective formation of the need and significant positive motivation for the independent acquisition of thorough professional knowledge, relevant skills and abilities and experience in their application in the process of professional training, and subsequently in their own professional activities.
In the context of the above, there is an urgent need to rethink the goals of professional training so that they correspond to modern ideas about the professional activities of students - future physical education teachers - and their social role in the context of modern higher education and the development of a healthy society.
In order to substantiate the effective conditions for forming the readiness of future physical education teachers to organize physical education and health activities, the author analyzed educational programs implemented in various higher education institutions of Ukraine. According to the results of the theoretical and expert assessment of the state of preparation of future physical education teachers in various higher education institutions, an insufficient level of preparation of future physical education teachers for physical education and health work aimed at mastering the necessary skills in the areas of both psychological and pedagogical and special / professional training was demonstrated.
The identified gaps in the training of future teachers require the education system to find new ways to organize the training of physical education teachers based on modern approaches. This involves changes not only in the goals and content, but also in the forms, methods and means of professional training. First of all, regarding the problem of forming the professional readiness of future physical education teachers to organize physical education and health activities and, accordingly, the need for its thorough solution at the methodological, psychological, pedagogical and methodological levels
