Summary. The article analyzes the essence and content of the socio-psychological principles of management activity. The socio-psychological principles of management activity are considered as a set of psychological and social factors that affect the effectiveness of management, interaction in the team and the achievement of organizational goals, explain the relationship between psychological and social factors in the process of management activity.
The emphasis is on the fact that in modern conditions of social development, effective management activity acquires special importance. Management is considered not only as an organizational and administrative process, but as a socio-psychological interaction between subjects and objects of management.
The essence of the main psychological principles of a manager's managerial activity has been clarified (professional competence, organizational skills and self-discipline, leadership qualities and authority, leadership styles (democratic, authoritarian, liberal), responsibility, stress resistance, emotional intelligence and emotional balance, communication skills, ability for self-development, self-regulation and making managerial decisions, positive moral portrait).
The essence of the main social principles of managerial activity is analyzed (the collective as a small social group, communication in the management system, conflict in managerial activity). The essence of leadership and personal authority as a socio-psychological phenomenon in managerial activity is revealed. Attention is focused on the importance of forming a favorable socio-psychological climate of the organization. The names of scientists who studied the stated problem in their works are given.
