Abstract

Summary. The article describes the state of physical and psychological training of military personnel in Ukraine. The experience of NATO member countries is presented. Their systems of physical training and assessment of the level of acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities are characterized.

It also emphasizes the importance of physical education as an integral part of general military training, which not only contributes to strengthening the physical health, endurance, and morale of military personnel, but also increases their psychological resilience, ability to act in extreme conditions, make quick decisions, and interact effectively in combat situations. Physical training is seen as a key element that affects the overall combat readiness of units and is a factor that directly influences the preservation of life and the successful completion of combat missions.

Special attention is paid to the adaptation of positive foreign experience to the conditions of modern Ukraine. Practices and approaches are considered that can be implemented in the Ukrainian system of military physical education, taking into account the specifics of hybrid warfare, territorial defense, asymmetric threats, and the need for universal training of military personnel of various categories.

The potential for modernizing the educational and material base, introducing the latest training methods, specialized physical rehabilitation programs, and an individual approach to training is analyzed.

The author proposes a set of recommendations aimed at improving the physical education system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, this involves updating the regulatory framework, introducing modern standards for assessing physical fitness, systematically improving the qualifications of instructors, developing infrastructure for training and rehabilitation, and strengthening the motivational component for military personnel. In conclusion, the author emphasizes that an effective physical education system is a guarantee of increasing the combat capability of the Ukrainian army and its ability to effectively counter modern military threats.

Attention is focused on the importance of exchanging experience in wartime with maximum efficiency and in the shortest possible time.
