Abstract

Summary. The article examines the issue of integrating modern digital technologies and multimedia resources into the educational process as an effective means of increasing the motivation of vocational education students to study occupational safety. It emphasizes that the professional training of future workers involves not only mastering theoretical knowledge but also developing practical skills and competencies necessary for safe professional activity. In this context, the use of information and communication technologies, interactive multimedia tools, electronic textbooks, learning platforms, video lessons, simulators, and virtual simulations creates new opportunities for improving the quality of the educational process and ensuring its practical orientation.

The use of digital technologies in teaching occupational safety contributes to the formation of a more flexible, adaptive, and learner-centered educational environment in which students become active participants in the learning process. The application of video lessons, educational films, interactive presentations, and simulation programs allows for the creation of visual and engaging learning conditions that facilitate the understanding of complex concepts related to occupational safety and reproduce real-life industrial situations. This ensures an effective combination of theoretical and practical components of training. Special attention is given to the role of multimedia resources in developing critical thinking, increasing cognitive engagement, and fostering a responsible attitude toward workplace safety issues.

The study highlights the importance of electronic textbooks and learning platforms (such as Moodle, Google Classroom, Coursera, etc.) as tools for implementing distance and blended learning. They provide flexibility and accessibility of the educational process, enable students to organize their studies independently, work at their own pace, and receive timely feedback. The use of such platforms creates conditions for the individualization of learning pathways and the enhancement of students’ digital literacy.

The results of the analysis demonstrate that the integration of technologies and multimedia tools into the teaching of the discipline “Occupational Safety” positively influences students’ motivation, enhances the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition, and promotes the development of practical skills, while also forming competencies necessary for safe professional activity. These tools not only facilitate the learning process but also create conditions for the development of communicative, social, and digital skills, which meet the requirements of modern production and the trends of digital transformation in education. The article presents examples of successful implementation of interactive presentations, video tutorials, educational films, simulators, and electronic platforms in the training of future qualified workers. It is proven that the comprehensive use of these tools contributes to a deeper understanding of the learning material, enhances cognitive activity, and effectively fosters a culture of occupational safety.

It is concluded that the digitalization of the educational process is not only a demand of the time but also a necessary condition for the high-quality training of future technical specialists.
