Summary. Introduction. The article examines tourism and physical recreation as effective means of counteracting hypodynamia and fostering a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren. It is through tourism that we can best form in children the skills and abilities of a healthy lifestyle, spending useful leisure time and active recreation, hardening the body, preventing diseases, and relieving fatigue. Therefore, the problem of forming a healthy lifestyle and valeological worldview of senior schoolchildren through recreational tourism is relevant.
Purpose. Analysis and substantiation of theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation of healthy lifestyle skills and valeological worldview of students in grades 5–9 of Kremenchuk Gymnasium No. 12 through recreational tourism.
Methods. Analysis of literary sources, pedagogical observations, questionnaires, surveys.
Results. According to the survey data, it was found that only 30% of applicants from all grades 5-9 attend the club. Therefore, we conducted a survey on the reasons for the low attendance of the club. According to the results of the survey, it was found that for most children the reason is lack of time (55.7%), 22.9% of children cannot attend the club due to health reasons, and 21.4% attend other clubs. Indeed, the academic load has increased in recent years. Subsequently, a survey of applicants was conducted regarding their awareness of the components of lifestyle that shape health. Most applicants ranked physical activity, leisure, and recreation in 1st and 2nd place, but due to lack of time, they do not have the opportunity to engage in recreational tourism.
Originality. It presents and analyzes data on students’ participation in recreational tourism activities conducted within the Cossack-Knight Education Club «Dzhura», which aims to popularize health-oriented behaviors and strengthen children’s physical well-being.
Conclusion. Survey results indicate that not all students are able to attend the club regularly due to time constraints. Nevertheless, the findings demonstrate that learners possess an understanding of the concept of a healthy lifestyle and the key factors that contribute to it. In further work, it is necessary to pay attention to the development of health and recreation programs that include tourism with the addition of physical exercises to increase physical activity.
