Methods: analysis of the situation about the research problem; content analysis of sources regarding the content of methodical skills and the focus of the case method; specification and systematization of case examples; systematization and generalization of the research results.

Results. Examples of three groups of cases are identified: for the formation of methodical knowledge (ways of organizing a lesson, teaching methods and ways of constructive pedagogical interaction), skills (through consideration of problem situations) and for the development of methodical creativity (forecasting the development of a pedagogical situation, independent selection of teaching methods, creation methodical materials for lessons).

Originality. For the first time, a systematization and selection of cases for HMEI’s teachers with an initial level of methodical skills were carried out.
