STATUS, PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF THE REFORM OF DIDACTIC PRINCIPLES OF MILITARY EDUCATION IN UKRAINE

Summary. The reform of the military education system of Ukraine should be carried out taking into account the best experience of NATO countries regarding the didactic principles of military personnel training.
The purpose of the article is to substantiate the didactic principles of the military education system of Ukraine in the context of its reform.
The relevance of the problem has been studied, its importance has been demonstrated in the perspective of the European integration policy of Ukraine in the field of security and defense. Didactics of military education systems is analyzed as a complex category consisting of two organic components - theoretical and applied. The main regularities and principles of the development of military education systems of NATO countries, which make up the theoretical component of didactics, have been determined.
Prospective directions for reforming the elements of the theoretical and applied didactic foundations of the military education system of Ukraine were studied: requirements for military personnel, structure and content of training of military personnel, control and monitoring of the educational process, etc.
Interrelationships and principles of operation of military education systems are revealed; we recommend implementing a number of measures aimed at speeding up the reform processes regarding the didactic foundations of the military education system of Ukraine. The approaches to didactics that we have proposed will contribute to bringing the domestic system of military education closer to the corresponding systems of NATO members, improving the effectiveness of the system of training military personnel and increasing its combat capability.
The processes of reforming the military education system should now be aimed at implementing the legal norms of the main documents on the security and defense of Ukraine. For this, it is necessary to critically reflect on what has been achieved and focus efforts and resources on introducing the successful experience of NATO member countries into the military education system of Ukraine.
Prospective directions for further research are the assessment of the effectiveness of reforming the didactic foundations of the military education system; analysis of the military service of graduates of military educational institutions in the Armed Forces; the state, problems and prospects of the introduction of NATO standards into the military education system of Ukraine
