FORMATION OF HEALTH-SAVING COMPETENCE AS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN HEALTH CARE

Introduction. The system of professional training of future specialists in higher education institutions is carried out in accordance with the higher education standards approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which are close to the European requirements for educational activities in university education. This document focuses on the formation of general and special (professional) competencies in students. Among the competencies of the first group, the health competence occupies an important place, since modern society requires the readiness of a future specialist to start his or her work as a completely healthy and full-fledged person, who, in turn, has a high health reserve. In addition, university graduates are faced with the task of not only performing their future professional duties with high quality, but also creating a healthy family, raising children as healthy descendants of society, and being an example for colleagues, friends, and acquaintances. However, it is worth noting that today's challenging life increases health risks in today's changing environment, and this requires students to develop an appropriate level of physical culture and health competence.
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to clarify the peculiarities of the formation of health-saving competence in the process of professional training of future specialists in higher education institutions.
Methods. The study used a theoretical analysis of scientific sources, generalization and systematization of the collected practical material, and comparison and contrast.
Results. Based on the analyzed scientific sources, the essence of the main key concepts was clarified: "professional training of future specialists", "readiness for future professional activity", "health-saving competence", "health-saving educational environment", "health-saving technologies". A special place in the article is occupied by the competency-based approach to teaching in higher education institutions, which is based on the formation of general and special (professional) competencies. It has been found that health-saving competence belongs to the group of general competencies. Its essence lies in the integral dynamic quality of the individual, which is manifested in the motivation, needs and value orientations for a healthy lifestyle, knowledge about health and its components, ways and methods of its preservation, strengthening and restoration, the ability to regulate professional activities, taking into account possible harmful effects on one's own health and the health of others, as well as reflection on the implementation of professional activities and one's own health. The main principles of health-saving competence formation are considered to be: systematic and consistent, mutual respect and friendly attitude, collective interaction in the process of health-saving competence formation, reflexivity. Scientists consider health-saving technologies to include: health-preserving, health-improving, health education technologies, and health culture education. The study found that the following disciplines contribute to the formation of health-saving competence in future specialists: "Physical Education, Life Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety and Civil Protection, Health Saving Technologies in the Educational Process, Organization of a Safe, Healthy Educational Environment, Formation of a Health Saving Educational Environment in Higher Education Institutions, Valeology with the Basics of Physiology, Psychophysiology, etc. Each higher education institution has the right to choose its own list of disciplines for the formation of the above competence.
Conclusion. Thus, the formation of health-saving competence in future specialists studying at higher education institutions plays an important role in the professional training of students. Further research is needed on the issue of forming health-saving competence in students during extracurricular time.
