SUBSTANTIATION OF THE NEED TO TRAIN SPECIALISTS IN THE SPECIALITY "THE INTELLIGENCE SUPPLY FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF TASKS BY UNITS OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OF UKRAINE" SPECIALITY 254 SUPPORT OF TROOPS (FORCES)

Abstract

In the conditions of warfare, an important role is played by the organisation and implementation of measures aimed at preventing a sudden attack by the enemy, reduction of the effectiveness of its fire (strikes) on units, creation of favourable conditions for the organised entry of units into combat and successful execution of combat missions, that is combat support of troops (forces).

Such type of combat support as intelligence is a set of activities carried out by commanders, staffs and units to obtain intelligence about the enemy and the terrain in the area of future operations, which is necessary for the preparation and successful conduction of combat (operations). The main efforts of intelligence are focused on providing commanders with timely intelligence information necessary for the effective engagement of units, as well as on preventing unexpected enemy actions.

However, there are no studies that justify the need to educate specialists in organisation of actions of the intelligence units of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Methods: analysis and synthesis.

Results. Based on the results of the study, the necessity of training specialists in the educational programme "The intelligence supply for the performance of tasks by units of the National Guard of Ukraine", speciality 254 Support of troops (forces), is justified.

Originality. Considering the content of regulatory legal acts and the specifics of service and combat activities, a list of identical educational components in the educational programmes of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the tactical level of military education of higher military educational institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine, a list of educational components of military specialised training (professional course of the tactical level L-1B) in the specialisation "The intelligence supply for the performance of tasks by units of the National Guard of Ukraine" was determined.

The training of future officers in other educational programmes should incorporate the study of the discipline "Intelligence". Elements of the methodology for implementing the content modules of this discipline are proposed.

Further research will be devoted to the formation of an educational environment for the implementation of the educational process of training specialists in the organisation of actions of intelligence units of the National Guard of Ukraine.
