In modern pedagogical literature, the issue of distance learning methods is very widely covered. However, the effectiveness of remote asynchronous learning methods during martial law remains unclear. The purpose of our work is to study the effectiveness of distance learning methods in the asynchronous mode of recruiters during martial law. The effectiveness of distance learning in synchronous and asynchronous modes of biology students of the 4th year of Kherson State University was evaluated based on the study of their academic success in the academic discipline "Genetics with the basics of selection". In addition to studying academic performance, students completed a questionnaire on motivation to study. Our study of the effectiveness of the use of asynchronous mode of distance learning demonstrated an increase in the success of students due to an increase in the number of students who have level C and a decrease in the number of students who have level D. 44% of students had a formed educational motivation. However, for 16% of interviewed students, only asynchronous interaction during distance learning was insufficient, for 12% they noted the difficulty of self-organization during distance learning in asynchronous mode.
