Summary. Introduction: Out-of-school education faces the challenge of adapting to dynamic changes while maintaining its role in personal development and social integration. The sociocultural function of out-of-school education is increasingly important, especially in the context of war and social transformation in Ukraine.
Purpose: The study aims to define the content and specifics of the sociocultural function of out-of-school education in modern conditions, analyzing its forms, methods, and impact on personal and community development.
Methods: The research employs literature analysis of conference proceedings, articles, textbooks, manuals, and legislative documents. Theoretical analysis is used to investigate the essence of sociocultural activities in out-of-school education.
Results: The study reveals that the sociocultural function of out-of-school education encompasses socialization, cultural development, national identity formation, tolerance promotion, creative self-realization and career guidance. The research highlights the growing importance of digital technologies, community involvement, and inclusive approaches in implementing sociocultural activities.
Originality: The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the sociocultural function of out-of-school education at our times. It combines theoretical foundations with practical implications, offering insights into the role of out-of-school education in community development.
Conclusion: The sociocultural function of out-of-school education plays a crucial role in personal development, community building, and preserving national identity. The study recommends enhancing digital literacy in sociocultural activities, promoting inclusive practices, and strengthening the role of out-of-school education institutions as community centers. Further research is suggested in areas such as international experience adaptation and the role of sociocultural activities in career guidance and soft skills development.
