MODERN TYPES OF DECORATIVE PAINTING AS A DESIGN PRACTICE OF ARTISTS

Introduction. The article examines modern types of decorative painting, its varieties, which are an important component of modern design, both in the internal and external environment, their use in theater set design, book publishing, miniatures, etc.
Purpose. To determine and specify the types of decorative painting that exist in the modern artistic space of Ukraine, their features and materials as well as realization of the artist in design practice through the variety of types of decorative painting.
Results. The research characterizes types of modern decorative painting in Ukraine, their technique and materials as well as their place in design practice. It states that decorative arts and design share common goals and principles that contribute to the creation of attractive, functional and innovative products.
Originality. The choice of the research topic is due to the relevance of decorative painting in the development of the processes of forming a new socio-cultural reality, in which national culture and art become one of the determining factors of social progress. Decorative painting is used to decorate exteriors. These are monumental and decorative works that complement a single architectural ensemble, thanks to which we learn the history of the culture of civilizations. Also, modern interior design cannot be imagined without works of art. Decorative painting in the interior can be presented both in the form of removable and portable works of art, and in the form of decorative wall painting, where modern designers often use exclusive handmade decorative parts that add an individual character to the interior.
Therefore, the variety of types of decorative painting as a design practice allows artists to realize themselves, to fully reveal their potential and to embody in the appropriate material an artistic image that is based on national identity, which requires a new understanding of aesthetic norms in society.
Conclusion. Therefore, the processes of forming a new sociocultural reality, in which national culture and art become one of the determining factors of social progress in the development of national identity, became more active after Ukraine gained independence [1]. The culture of modern Ukraine requires an understanding of aesthetic norms in society and the taste of the creator.
These and other techniques of decorative painting reflect modern trends in design, allow creating unique and aesthetically attractive images in various environments. and realizing oneself as an artist, fully reveal potential and embody the artistic image in the appropriate material in professional design practice.
