Abstract

Problem Statement. The conceptual approach in the modern educational system of Ukraine is implemented in the extreme conditions of wartime. The effectiveness of reform changes that involve the creation of a universal educational environment as a priority, directly depend on several factors, particularly, the ability of pedagogical workers to design school space with educational centers based on the principles of accessibility and ergonomics. The development of the teacher’s design competence, which includes everything mentioned above, is closely linked with the peculiarities of the organization of methodical work in high schools. In the context of a dynamic change in educational emphases, there is an urgent need for a thorough analysis of the theoretical aspects of developing a modern teacher’s design competence based on the system of methodical work in educational institutions.

The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical aspects of methodical work of institutions of general secondary education in the context of the formation of teachers’ project competence.

General methods of scientific research are: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, study of literary sources, study of school documentation); empirical (observation, questionnaires, interviews, study of pedagogical experience).

The main results of the research are the identification of priority aspects that affect the process of forming the teacher’s design competence, the development and disclosure of the “Formation of the teacher’s design competence” model and its components, the study of the theoretical awareness of teachers of general secondary education institutions regarding the content of the design competence provided for by the professional standard “Primary school teacher of a general secondary education institution”, “Teacher of a general secondary education institution”, “Primary education teacher (with junior specialist diploma)”.

Scientific significance of the research results. The theoretical aspects of the model of forming project competence developed by us were investigated in terms of methodical work of institutions of general secondary education, through the study of pedagogical experience and systematic observation of the implementation of the educational process.

Conclusions. We practically verified the significance of theoretical aspects of the formation of the teacher’s design competence through the prism of methodical work in general secondary education institutions of the Vinnytsia urban territorial community. In addition, on the basis of observations and the study of pedagogical experience, it was possible to distinguish the main components, which, in our opinion, are the elements of the studied phenomenon.

Prospects for further research consist in the implementation of the author’s developed system of methodical techniques aimed at increasing the level of development of teachers’ design competence in the Vinnytsia urban territorial community.
