Abstract

Summary. Introduction. The current state of socio-cultural activities development in the country is closely connected with the economic and cultural transformations of the domestic market of the cultural and creative industries system, in particular with the gradual transition from outdated forms of producing cultural and artistic goods to new ones, focused on the creation of various private and state cultural and artistic projects, which are actively developing at the local and national levels. Future specialists in the field of culture and art must have a full range of the developed professional, primarily practical knowledge and skills (namely, management of cultural and artistic projects, assessment of its cost, determination of necessary resources, planning of the main types of work) in order to be competitive specialists in the labour market of cultural and creative industries.

The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the process of managing choreographic projects in the market of cultural and creative services.

Methods. Theoretical analysis of scientific literature, systematization and generalization of the collected material, comparison, modelling.

Results. The key concepts of “project”, “project activity”, “choreographic project”, “project management”, “choreographic project management”, were clarified. The distinguishing features between the concepts of cultural and creative industries were revealed. Creative industries are directly related to creativity, discovery, innovation, commercial activity, and the combination of creativity with business. At the same time, cultural industries focus on the preservation and development of culture, the transmission and dissemination of cultural values. It has been found that the choreographic project is considered by scientists to belong to both types of industries depending on its purpose and direction. It is emphasized that the management of choreographic projects should be considered as a combination of creative and administrative (managerial) work aimed at the effective implementation of dance initiatives. All-Ukrainian and regional choreographic projects were analyzed, in particular the television projects “Step to the Stars”, “Dancing with the Stars” and “Everybody Dances!”, the dance project “One to One”, the multi-genre all-Ukrainian dance championship “ChNU Rector’s Cup”, and the author’s dance and therapeutic master class Hush! Dance Therapy by O. Shoptenko. It has been established that responsibility for the implementation of a choreographic project is divided between several key specialists, primarily between the choreographic project manager (producer, art manager, financial director), choreographer-director and director. The stages of choreographic project management are described; the following main stages of its management as concept development, planning, preparation, implementation, evaluation, are noted.

Conclusion. Therefore, the management of choreographic projects occupies an important place in the development of cultural and creative industries. Its successful implementation is based on consistent adherence to the stages of organization and implementation of a choreographic project. Further research is required to study the technology of creating choreographic projects and the use of innovative means in the production of modern dance.
