Abstract

Summary. This article examines the importance of interdisciplinary connections between informatics and technology in modern secondary education. It highlights the need to rethink traditional subject-based teaching in favor of integrated approaches that develop students' practical, digital, and engineering skills. The research conducted within the framework of the New Ukrainian School reform, which emphasizes the formation of key and crosscutting competencies, rather than isolated knowledge and skills.

The current situation in Ukrainian schools shows that computer science and technology is usually study separately. This separation limits students’ ability to apply knowledge in real-world situations and reduces their motivation. The article analyzes scientific research, teaching practices, and modern educational trends. Based on this analysis, it is confirm that combining informatics and technology helps students develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and digital literacy.

The author proposes a four-component model for implementing interdisciplinary integration analytical work with educational programs; designing integrated tasks and selecting learning tools; practical implementation through projects and lessons of integration; reflection and evaluation. Each component is explained in detail, showing how teachers can work together to design meaningful tasks. Examples of integrated topics include 3D design and prototyping, smart devices with programmable controllers, digital instruction manuals for handmade products, and ecological product promotion using online tools.

The article provides recommendations for organizing integrated learning environments, choosing digital platforms, and developing joint projects. It emphasizes that teacher collaboration is a key factor in successful integration. The outcomes of this model include increased student motivation, better understanding of content, and the formation of practical competencies that are relevant to life in the digital world.
