MANAGEMENT OF PROJECTS AIMING AT THE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTSOF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Summary. The article describes the essence of the concepts of “project”, “educational project”, “educational project management”, provides a classification of projects by scale, duration, nature of the project/level of participants, purpose and nature of activity, class (structure) of the project by level of alternative, type of project, field of activity, and degree of complexity. The article also analyzes project management models, their advantages and disadvantages, and offers recommendations for their adaptation to the specifics of the educational process. Particular attention is paid to the role of the teacher as a facilitator of project activities, his or her ability to create favorable conditions for students' self-realization.
The author presented practical experience in managing an educational project aimed at developing students of general secondary education institutions, which was implemented as a service. It is called “Universal Online”. This service has a number of advantages for the teaching staff and heads of educational institutions, for students and their parents.
