FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES IN BACHELORS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT FOR COACHING ACTIVITIES IN TEAM SPORTS

Summary. This article addresses the issue of forming professional competencies in bachelors of physical education and sport, essential for effective coaching activities in team sports. The significance of quality training for future specialists capable of implementing modern methodological approaches, making strategic decisions in the training process, and developing athletes’ sports skills is highlighted.
The study analyzes contemporary educational trends in the preparation of team sport coaches, specifically the requirements for forming their professional competencies. Key components of a coach's professional competence are identified, including methodological, analytical, communicative, organizational, and psychological training. The article examines the main factors affecting the effectiveness of forming these competencies, such as the role of practical experience, the implementation of innovative teaching technologies, and the integration of scientific knowledge into professional activities.
Didactic and methodological foundations for preparing coaches, considering the specifics of team sports, are highlighted. These include developing tactical thinking, the ability to analyze the game, managing team dynamics, and adapting the training process to athletes’ individual characteristics. The necessity of improving the educational process through the combination of theoretical training with active practical activities, internships, and the use of interactive technologies is emphasized.
The study explores domestic and international experiences in the professional preparation of coaches, allowing for a comparison of various teaching models and the identification of the most effective approaches to developing professional skills.
Methodological recommendations are provided for improving the educational process and the preparation of bachelors in physical education and sport. A structural-functional model for forming professional competencies is proposed, ensuring the comprehensive development of specialists in modern sports education.
Practical measures for enhancing coach preparation are suggested, including the introduction of modular training, the use of simulation technologies, an interdisciplinary approach, and cooperation with professional sports organizations. The study’s results are summarized, with recommendations for their implementation into the educational process of higher education institutions.
The findings can be used to modernize educational programs for training future coaches in the field of team sports, which will contribute to enhancing their professional competence and competitiveness in the labor market.
