Summary. This study is dedicated to the application of universal design principles in digital education courses, specifically in the course “Digital Communication Services” for first-year students.
The purpose of this study is to justify the need for implementing the concept of universal design, taking into account the diverse physical, cognitive, and social needs of students, thereby ensuring equal opportunities for all participants in the educational process.
The research used theoretical analysis, which substantiates universal design as an effective approach that contributes to creating a comfortable and accessible learning environment for students with varying individual characteristics.
The main results of the study include the identification of seven universal design principles, such as fairness in use, flexibility in the choice of information presentation formats, simplicity and clarity of content, perceptibility of information through various delivery channels, tolerance for errors, low physical effort for individuals with limited mobility, and ensuring comfortable access to educational materials. The practical implementation of these principles enables the creation of an inclusive learning environment, enhancing the quality of digital education.
The originality of the study lies in the development of methods for integrating universal design into educational disciplines, particularly in the course “Digital Communication Services”, thus creating an accessible and equitable environment for all students.
The conclusions of the study confirm that the implementation of universal design in digital education is a necessary step to improve the quality of the learning process, promoting an inclusive approach and ensuring equal opportunities for students with diverse needs.
