Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the concepts of managerialism, retrospectives of its historical development and economic transformations in the education system of developed countries.

The application of the new managerialism policy in various flexible concepts of systemic educational reforms, characterized by focusing on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and improving quality of educational services.

It is determined that the knowledge of the above scientific areas, developed in the within the framework of the theory of educational change, laid the theoretical foundation for modern reform processes in the higher education system.

The importance of applying market methods of management is emphasized quality of higher education, which are standard in international practice, for improving educational activities and increasing the efficiency of mechanisms management of the education system.

Attention is focused on the creation of an effective quality management system taking into account the performance of higher education to level the inertia of its development and increase the efficiency of quality management in the educational sphere.
